Our tote bags are made to order, because we think good things are worth waiting for (and making only what’s actually wanted is a bit kinder to the planet).

We’re always reminiscing about our hometown of Whitley Bay. Nights out down South Parade and a pining for a Thursbay (IYKYK) created a teenhood in the town spent well. This was one of the first designs we created - we couldn’t not start with Whitley Bay Est. 1901, because Whitley is where we started our lives.

The official history of Whitley Bay goes like this... the town got its name in 1901, after years of confusion with Whitby further down the coast. By then, the railway was already bringing visitors from Newcastle for days beside the sea, helping Whitley grow into a popular seaside resort. St Mary’s Lighthouse and, later, the Spanish City became local landmarks, cementing Whitley Bay as one of the North East coast’s most recognisable towns.

Made from sturdy 100% recycled cotton canvas, our Whitley Bay tote bag has plenty of room for all the everyday stuff you somehow end up carrying around. Bottom and side gussets give you extra space, while long reinforced handles make it easy to throw over your shoulder - ideal for a wander along the Links, a trip to the shops or a day down by the sea.

Each tote is finished with a black printed “Whitley Bay Est. 1901” design - a little nod to our hometown and more than a century of Whitley Bay history.
