Welcome to Norsh (NORth SHields), your local North East heritage clothing store.

Norsh was born in North Shields in 2025, but the story behind it goes back a lot further than that. Our family has called the North East coast home for generations. We’ve grown up here, built our lives here and now we’re raising the next generation here too. Our connection to the North East runs deep and Norsh is our way of paying homage to it.

We design clothing inspired by the places, stories and character of the North East – designed for people who feel the same connection as we do.

Our coastline, our story

Our core Coastline Collection tells the story of the towns and villages we grew up in: North Shields. Tynemouth. Cullercoats. Whitley Bay.

These places hold a lot of history both personally and locally – fishing communities, seaside towns, old streets, landmarks and local stories that have shaped why we feel so proud of our coastline. 

That’s why you'll find little pieces of that history woven into our designs, from the dates places were established to the stories behind their names - each piece will mean something different to its owner and we love that.

Every Norsh design starts here in North Shields.

Once you place an order, your item is made for you in the UK. Producing our clothing to order means we don't need to manufacture huge quantities and hope they'll eventually find a home.

Less unnecessary stock. Less waste. More considered clothing.

It takes a little longer than grabbing something from the rail of a high-street shop, but we think it's worth it.

We focus on quality pieces, great embroidery and designs that aren't tied to a trend or a season. The idea is simple: make clothes you'll genuinely want to keep wearing.
