Nights out down South Parade and a pining for a Thursbay (IYKYK) created a teenhood in the town spent well. This was one of the first designs we created - we couldn’t not start with Whitley Bay Est. 1901, because Whitley is where we started our lives.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe official history of Whitley Bay goes like this... the town got its name in 1901, after years of confusion with Whitby further down the coast. By then, the railway was already bringing visitors from Newcastle for days beside the sea, helping Whitley grow into a popular seaside resort.
